Browse web without Internet on Google Chrome – Chrome offline mode

Tech giant Google rolls out a brand new feature for chrome android that lets the users of a few countries to surf web even without the internet connection. Yeah, you heard it right! Now browse the web without Internet on Google Chrome with chrome offline mode.

Android users can use this feature in more than 100 other countries including Nigeria, Indonesia, and Brazil. The feature can also be useful to anyone with a limited data plan, hoping it comes to the US soon.

In 2016 chrome received the feature to let users download music, videos, and articles for offline mode. But in May 2017, received a dedicated ‘Download Page Later’ that made it more convenient to view when offline.

chrome offline modeBut these latest features take chrome to the next level. It will download articles that are relevant to you, based on your browsing history. A chrome signed in user will get most out of this feature. Google will download personalized content for the user. They may not be exactly what you want to read, but still may be helpful for some of the users who want an offline reading. In an area with limited connectivity, you can read articles.  You can visit the download section by tapping the three-dot button from the top-right segment. Then select Downloads option in your chrome browser.

“When you’re connected to free, unmetered WiFi, Chrome will automatically download relevant articles, based on what content is most popular in your location,” said Amanda Boss, Product Manager, Offline Chrome for Android.

You could already download articles for offline reading using the third-party apps but in that, you have to manually choose the articles you want to download.
